"I've always thought my flowers had souls. . . they seem like real people to me. I've seen the roses rubbing their cheeks together as if they loved eachother, and the forget-me-nots are little blue-eyed children, half afraid of rest." 'Lavender and Old Lace' ~Myrtle Reed~

A Summer Challenge

I received an email from a friend last week with a cookbook challenge for the summer. The challenge was to choose a cookbook and cook/bake your way through it this summer. I decided the challenge sounded fun and thus I ordered two cookbooks for the summer 1. The Book of Salads 2. Luscious Chocolate Desserts. I thought the salads should balance out the chocolate, what do you think?

I may not make my way through both cookbooks in the space of a few short months, but I should make good headway, and it will be fun to have a store of new recipes at my beck and call. Besides, who could pass up a chance to bake your way through a chocolate cookbook?
